Building the Communities of Tomorrow

Recent Governing Institute interviews with key elected officials and CIOs surfaced an important issue facing government leaders throughout the country: Tight finances and reliance on old technology make it difficult to tackle vexing problems like homelessness, the opioid epidemic and affordable housing. Solving these challenges requires a fresh look at how governments partner with each other and the private sector. On Dec. 14 at 10am Pacific/1pm Eastern, our panel of local government leaders will discuss several ways the public and private sectors can collaborate to innovate and unlock data-driven insights that can solve complex issues and create better communities.

This hour-long, informative webcast will also:
• Highlight other key trends from the Governing Institute’s research interviews
• Give examples of how private sector approaches can be applied to government to drive innovation
• Discuss the role of data in building the communities of tomorrow
