The same technology used to run the public Google Earth lets organizations build their own secure globe with their own imagery and other geospatial data. Employees can visualize, explore and understand information on a fully interactive 3D globe, with little or no training required.
Google Earth Enterprise now has a new portable version which allows organizations and agencies to field a fully functioning Google Earth Server containing their geospatial data for users who are disconnected from any network. This is especially useful for Special Operations Forces, State and Local emergency responders, Humanitarian organizations, and mobilized personnel.
