Fort Huachuca IT Expo



FBC will host the Summer 2010 Information Technology Expo at Fort Huachuca, with support from the Communications Security Logistics Activity (CSLA) Fort Huachuca, and the U.S. Army Contracting Agency Information Technology, E-Commerce and Commercial Contracting Center - West DOC Operations Branch.

Held since 1993, the purpose of the expo is to allow the diverse signal, information technology, information security and intelligence communities at Fort Huachuca evaluate the latest IT and IA products and services without having to travel off post.

Expected attendance is 200 people at this expo. Past attendees include personnel with titles such as: Lead IT Security Analyst, IT Specialist, Computer Scientist, Electronic Engineer, Systems Engineer, Instructor, Data Security Analyst, Intelligence Officer, Project Manager, Purchasing Agent and Buyer.

About Fort Huachuca
Fort Huachuca is home to the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM)/9th Army Signal Command and U.S. Army Intelligence Center.

The 9th Signal Command (Army) (NETCOM/9th SC (A)) is a Direct Reporting Unit under the Army’s Chief Information Officer/ G-6 (CIO/G-6). Its core mission is operating and defending the Army's computer networks, which are the service's portion of the Global Information Grid (GIG). The command’s primary objective is to ensure the Army’s network enterprise enables soldiers at all echelons of operation. Additionally, the Commanding General is designated as the Deputy for Network Operations for U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/U.S. Army Forces Strategic Command. Headquartered at Fort Huachuca, the NETCOM/9th SC (A) team has nearly 17,000 Soldiers, Department of the Army Civilians and Contractors stationed and deployed around the world, providing direct and indirect support to Army, Joint and Coalition forces.

The United States Army Intelligence Center (USAIC) is the United States Army's school for professional training of military intelligence personnel. It is a component of United States Army Training and Doctrine Command.

In additional to the NETCOM/9th SC (A) and USAIC, FBC will invite personnel from the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC), Information Systems Engineering Command (USAISEC), Electronic Proving Ground (EPG), Communications Security Logistics Activity (CSLA), 11th Signal Brigade, Army Contracting, and information technology professionals from all subordinate units and tenants.
