SNG Live: Data Strategy
The federal government’s focus on data management will reach a high point this year, as the Trump administration and agencies activate around the Federal Data Strategy’s 2020 Action Plan. On top of this, the 2019 signing of the Evidence-Based Policymaking Act into law put a spotlight on federal agencies’ data practices. In addition to requiring all government data to be open and machine-readable when possible, it requires that every CFO Act agency designate a chief data officer. This emphasis on data has only been heightened as agencies focus their data-sharing efforts to combat the coronavirus.
This SNG Live Virtual session will gather federal IT decision-makers to discuss best practices and the progress they’re making around the new policies and law, and how it undergirds development in other technology areas like cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
