June Personal Property Disposal Course (40 hour) - Denver

This FREE training class is hosted by GSA's Personal Property Management program and is intended for both newcomers to the field and seasoned professionals seeking updates on the disposal process. Accountable Property Officers, Property Custodians and other personnel interested in learning the excess personal property disposal process are also welcome. 40 Continuous Learning Points (CLP), pending review, will be provided for attendance.

This seminar will include:
GSA Program Overview (History); Federal Utilization and Disposal of Personal Property; Federal Management Regulations (FMR) 102-36; Donation Program FMR 102.37; Computers for Learning (CFL) Program - Executive Order 12999; GSAXcess® Electronic Reporting, Searching and Freezing as well as disposing of various categories of property; How to uploading photos to reports; Transferring and Donating Property; Why customers should utilize Mysales; Regulations for disposing and/or requesting Weapons and/or Vessels; Promote GSAAuctions; Guidelines for Abandonment/Destruction; Recycling procedures, and review of various websites. In addition, we will have several speakers presenting on topics of interest to both Federal and SASPs.

Note: Bringing a laptop computer or tablet is helpful, but not required. The facility requires a federal government ID, driver's license or state ID.

This facility is handicapped accessible. Parking is limited at Denver Federal Center.
