The creation and dissemination of GEOINT data, products, and services allows users to answer questions such as “What’s happening where?” and “What could happen when?” Observation datasets of the Earth’s physical and cultural characteristics – including elevation, bathymetry, gravity, and human geography – enable the GEOINT community to orient, decide, and act faster. The rapid advancement of technology and the increasing density of interconnected devices and sensors has led to an explosion of geospatial data from sources with diverse organizational schemas and security requirements.
