August Virtual Speaker Series: How Covid 19 Shattered the Myths on Government Management

According to the Office of Personnel Management’s 2019 Status of Telework in the Federal Government Report to Congress, workforce participation in telework hovered at 22%, mostly on an off again, on again basis for the last few years.  Few if any employees were engaging in full time telework, until the pandemic.

The tide is turning for a gradual return to the office, and agency leaders are assessing how telework has enhanced employee productivity, increased collaboration, and helped the workforce deliver on the mission remotely.

This panel of government leaders will take a look at how telework will continue to play a role in the workforce of tomorrow.

Learning objectives:

  • Review lessons learned during the pandemic lockdown and how mission delivery has changed.

  • Delineate how government security officials have dealt with security for remote devices.

  • Detail how agencies leaders have changed their management style while managing a remote workforce.

  • Explore the tools and techniques that agencies adopted for secure, remote collaboration.
