An AI National Strategy for Congress
Artificial intelligence has been significantly reshaping society, the economy, and national security, but it is not an autonomous force beyond our control. If developed responsibly, AI can strengthen the economy, raise living standards, and bolster national security. The Bipartisan Policy Center has spent the past year in consultation with Reps. Robin Kelly (D-IL) and Will Hurd (R-TX) to understand the challenges and opportunities posed by AI, and to develop an AI national strategy for Congress. Through this initiative, BPC held a series of roundtables with government officials, industry representatives, civil society advocates, and academics, and subsequently produced four whitepapers on AI:
AI and National Security (in partnership with Center for Security and Emerging Technology)
Cementing American Artificial Intelligence Leadership: AI Research & Development(in partnership with Center for New American Security)
AI and Ethics (forthcoming publication)
