Advancing Women in Technology Interest Group Virtual
Join CompTIA's advancing women in technology interest group as we present the latest topics from the interest group forum, hear updates from the TIG advisors, and engaging in networking within our group.
According to the 2020 Women in the Workplace report, more than one in four women are contemplating what many would have considered unthinkable just six months ago: downshifting their careers or leaving the workforce completely. We know that due to the pandemic careers in retail and hospitality have been hard hit and many women will not have jobs to return to in these industries. While the challenges for women around gender discrimination, childcare, and family responsibilities have always existed, due to the pandemic these have become critical pain points for many. 2021 offers us the opportunity to showcase the technology sector and the flexibility of telecommuting to women.
Join us for a town hall moderated by Carolyn April, CompTIA’s senior director of industry analysis, as she leads a panel of women discussing both the current challenges but also the opportunities in the tech sector. We encourage you to join us on the forum to discuss the questions you would like answered. The advancing women in technology interest group would not be possible without participants like you and we want to make sure we discuss the topic you want covered.
