Identity as a Service: Shared Resources for Agency ICAM Efforts
This event qualifies for 1 CPEs
Identity management -- both for citizen customers and for an increasingly decentralized workforce -- is a complex challenge that combines security, privacy, CX and data-management considerations. Legacy systems often lack the interoperability and granular controls needed by users and admins alike, and weren’t designed to fully support the expectations set by the Office of Management and Budget with M-19-17.
Thankfully, there is a growing governmentwide effort to encourage better identity management.
During this FCW Insights Webcast, FCW Editor-in-Chief Troy Schneider will explore the shared services and other resources available to agencies seeking to streamline and standardize their identity, credential and access management, drawing on recent government presentations from the Data, Digital Identity and Privacy Workshop (www.fcw.com/identity).
Topics covered will include:
- Current challenges with employee and customer identity management
- The FICAM Architecture and how to use it
- How to identify and procure appropriate solutions
- Login.gov and other shared identity services that are available or in development
- The agencies responsible for other governmentwide identity efforts
