Panelist:

Dr. Man Ki Kim

Professor Man Ki Kim is a Program Director for IGMP (IBC & Public Procurement Management Program) and CGPP (Center for Global Public Procurement)of KAIST Business College. He is also a Senior Consultant at Yulchon who specializes in Global Public Procurement. As an expert in Global Public Procurement, he studied and researched various topics and projects for EU, UN, US, MDBs and various countries. Professor Kim studied at King’s College London, Macquarie University in Sydney, as well as at Georgetown University and Dankuk University, and earned his MA in International Marketing from Macquarie University. Professor Kim worked as an executive in various businesses. As such, he has extensive experience in global management and acquisition & contract management in Australia, the U.S., the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. Professor Kim is recognized as a leading expert in Defense Procurement, Overseas Public Procurement, and International Competitive Bids, due largely to his experience in these fields.

 

Mary Waters

Ms. Waters serves as Deputy Commissioner, International Trade for the Georgia Department of Economic Development.  In this role she oversees the state’s International Trade program which provides services that contribute to the expansion of Georgia’s exports, and the creation and retention of jobs attributable to exports.  The state’s international trade program assists companies with exporting and matches Georgia suppliers with international buyers.

 

Prior to her posting as Deputy Commissioner of International Trade, Ms. Waters worked as an International Account Manager with Guided Therapeutics, Inc. a medical device manufacturer and exporter located in Norcross, Georgia.  She was responsible for the Company’s business development initiatives in Latin America and Africa. 

 

Ms. Waters is active in trade policy, and currently serves as Vice President of the State International Development Organizations (SIDO), based in Washington, D.C.  SIDO is a national organization dedicated to supporting state international trade development and the role that state agencies play in supporting American exporters.  

 

Berthine Crevecoeur West

In 2018, she published her first book, “Culture Incorporated: An Innovative Approach to Cultural Competence in the Workplace.” In 2019, she went on to publish her next two best sellers, "Global Fluency: 50 Tips for Creating a Culturally Competent and Inclusive Professional Environment" and "The Healthcare Trifecta: Conversations on the Intersectionality of Language, Illness and Culture.” Her most recent book, released in September 2020, is entitled “Global Fluency II: Allyship in Action.” She is also the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Global Fluency Magazine.


Berthine Crèvecoeur West (ber-TEEN KREH-vah-kor west) is Learning & Development Subject Matter Expert and Conflict Resolution Strategist, Corporate Trainer, Award-Nominated Podcast Host and Author. 

 

Gabriel Vaca

Gabriel Vaca is the President and CEO of Vaca International, LLC. A business mentoring and consulting company that provides education and access to resources for small businesses specializing in the Latino market. In addition, Vaca specializes in sales strategies, training, strategic plans for startups and growth.  Mr. Vaca is a well-known speaker on the topics of Hispanic business, leadership, diversity and inclusion, International, Corporate Latino Employee Business groups (ERG) and serves on the Diversity and Inclusion Councils ‘of the Georgia Chamber and the Cobb Chamber of Commerce.
