Luncheon w/ MajGen George Allen, Director, J-5, US Cyber Command

Major General Allen is the Director of Plans and Policy for United States Cyber Command, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland.

Prior to this assignment, Major General Allen was the Director for Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4), and the Deputy DON Chief Information Officer (DDCIO) for the United States Marine Corps.

Major General Allen's previous command positions include Commanding Officer, Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity; Commanding Officer, 8th Communication Battalion, MarForLant; Detachment Bravo Company Commander, Marine Wing Communications Squadron-38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing; Communications Platoon Commander, 31st Marine Amphibious Unit, III MEF; Multichannel Platoon Commander, Communication Company, Headquarters Battalion, 3d Marine Division, FMFPac; Radio Platoon Commander, 8th Communication Battalion, FMFLant; Wire Platoon Commander, 8th Communication Battalion, FMFLant.

Major General Allen earned a M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University and a M.S. in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, National Defense University. He also attended The Basic School, Advanced Communications Officers' Course, and the Marine Corps Command and Staff College.

Toys for Tots

Since 1947 the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program has collected millions of toys for distribution as Christmas gifts to needy children. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.

Your local Marine Corps Reserve unit will be at the November 18 AFCEA NOVA luncheon to collect any donated toys.

Cost:

It is not necessary to be a member of AFCEA NOVA to attend our events.
But once you come to an event, we think you'll want to be!

Government employees and active military attend free of charge, but must register in advance. Onsite registrations for government and military personal are charged at the normal on-site rate.
