Email Security Buyer’s Guide

A highly vulnerable tool of any organization is also one of its most necessary communication mediums: email. Year after year, we see adversaries find success in abusing email to gain a foothold into an organization, deploy malware, or steal millions of dollars right under the company’s nose. Email threats are likely not going away for a long time. Verizon’s 2021 DBIR report holds that phishing remains one of the top actions they see in breaches – a position it has held for years.

Does that mean email is doomed, and we should give up? Quite the opposite – instead, we should look to newer technologies and an integrated security plan that provides a fresh outlook on email defense. In this buyer’s guide, we do just that. Departing from legacy, single-use email detections, we look at modern threats and what is required to defend against them. Furthermore, we explore a list of technical capabilities that we should demand in today’s email security solutions.

Join us for the webinar, where we will discuss:

  • What are modern email threats, and how are they different from previous threats?
  • What email threats should you be most concerned about, and can we detect against them?
  • What technical capabilities should be demand in our email security providers?
  • How does email security integrate into my current incident response plan?

Register today to be among the first to receive the associated Buyer’s Guide written by SANS instructor, Matt Bromiley.
