CYBER SECURITY: A GLOBAL EFFORT
Thursday, December 8, 2011 • 7:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m.

1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW • Washington, DC
As cyber threats globalize and resources tighten, collaborative solutions are critical.
Since 2007, when it was the victim of the first full-fledged cyber attack, launched by Russia, the Republic of Estonia has become a leader in the cyber security field. Just this month, the U.S. joined Estonia's NATO Cyber Defense Research Center.
Even more global cooperation will be required to track and stop cyber attacks, such asOperation ShadyRAT, which has stolen intellectual property, government secrets, e-mail archives, and legal contracts, from more than 70 public- and private-sector organizations in 14 countries over the past five years.
On December 8, join Estonian Ambassador Marina Kaljurand, who was serving as Ambassador to Russia during the 2007 attacks, and Dmitri Alperovitch, who lead the investigation into ShadyRAT, to explore the growing threat of international cyber crime and the future for global security partnerships.
Featuring:
