CNIC Operational Management and Effectiveness- Industry Day



The purpose of this Industry Day notice is to determine the availability and interest of qualified businesses to engage with senior military leaders involved in U.S. Navy shore installation management. Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC), headquartered at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC, is hosting a training symposium from 5-7 April 2022 in San Diego, CA for regional commanders and installations commanding officers from around the world. CNIC is responsible forworldwide U.S. Navy shore installation  management as the Navy's shore integrator, designing and developing integrated solutions for sustainment and development of Navy shore infrastructure. With more than 53,000 military and civilian personnel worldwide across 10 regions, 70 installations, and 123  Naval Operations Support Centers, CNIC is responsible for the operations, maintenance and quality of life programs to support the Navy's Fleet, Fighter, and Family. In attendance will be approximately 100 senior naval officers responsible for CNIC’s mission.


Who should attend?
CNIC is looking for businesses in the San Diego area that can share their lessons learned for innovative leadership and also share what their companies offer with government in the fields of utility services, energy renewal, physical security, cyber security, human services and facility maintenance. Two main for this training symposium are leadership and effectiveness in operational management. Businesses will have the ability to set up tables and displays to intermittently engage with senior military leaders during a 3 day period to discuss best practices and latest technology. Options exist to participate 1, 2 or all 3 days. This engagement will occur during regularly scheduled breaks between 0800 and 1100, during and after lunch, and would conclude no later than 1pm per day. Total time will be established once number of industry participants is confirmed.

 

Businesses will not have to pay to display their products, nor will they be paid for participating.


Participation is not an endorsement of industry and does not commit the Navy to use industry processes or products.


No more than 20 companies can attend per day. Each company may have up to two representatives. Participation is offered on a first come first serve basis with each company being afforded the opportunity to participate before multiple day participation is considered. Please indicate desired days of participation when registering.


Proof of COVID vaccination or proof of negative test results within 72 hours will be required before accessing government property.


The Navy points of contact will be available to discuss requirements and any questions provided prior to the deadline.
