NLIT Summit 2012
This year's National Laboratories Information Technology (NLIT) Summit, will take place at the Sun Valley Resort, May 29 through June 1, 2012.
The 2012 NLIT Summit brings together colleagues from across the US Department of Energy (DOE) complex to facilitate an exchange of information management (IM) best practices, strategy and methodology. Each year, the conference averages 300 to 350 attendees from the DOE Laboratories. This NLIT Summit will have the strongest participation from Idaho National Laboratory.
The 2012 NLIT Summit will consist of presentations, panel discussions, new equipment and technology demonstrations, and information sharing on topics applicable to all DOE National Laboratories. This will be the first year where there are 3 full days of laboratory presentations, BOF’s and panel discussions.
Presentations will be provided by the numerous DOE Laboratories and Industry Sponsors. This information exchange helps strengthen the IM and provides cost efficiencies across the DOE National Laboratories by preventing the reinvention of solutions to similar problems. Sharing of new technologies across multiple IM disciplines fosters relationships that will be key in future research and application development. The success of the DOE mission relies on the ability to conduct research, share data, and collaborate with personnel from other laboratories.
