Exploring Data Driven Styling on Google Maps Platform
Did you know Google Maps Platform has unlocked new Data Driven Styling capabilities and geographic boundary polygons? Platform users can now access and display boundary data for localities, postal codes, and more.
Data-driven styling provides much easier access to the most commonly desired geographies for aggregating and visualizing data. Users can now use tabular data associated with these geographic boundaries for visualization purposes. For example, with Data Driven styling, crime data, public health data, or census demographic data can be visualized by Zipcode.
Even better: Google manages the administrative boundary data for you, removing the need for you to purchase, update, and maintain boundary data yourself.
