Homeland Defense Over-The-Horizon Radar (HLD OTHR) Industry Day

This notice informs contractors with subject matter expertise in Over-the-Horizon Radar systems the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) PEO Digital Theater Battle Control Division Long Range Radar Branch will be conducting an Unclassified Industry Day event on 06 December 2022 at The MITRE Corporation (202 Burlington Road Rte. 62 Bedford, MA 01730). The intent of the event is to announce the program office’s strategy to acquire and field over-the-horizon radar systems in support of homeland defense objectives of both US Northern Command/North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORTHCOM/NORAD) and US Air Force’s Air Combat Command (ACC). Homeland Defense Over-The-Horizon Radar (HLD OTHR) is a land-based, high frequency (HF), radar providing over-the-horizon detection and tracking of air and surface target sets over wide geographic areas. The HLD OTHR system will focus on low flying air target sets that are typically obscured from conventional line of-sight radar systems by the curvature of the earth and thereby permit long range early detection and response to land or sea targets of interest.
