2012 Tampa Small Business Defense Procurement Summit

OVERVIEW

The Summit, which the U.S. Department of Defense is hosting in partnership with the City of Tampa and the office of U.S. Representative Kathy Castor, is intended to: 1) provide Tampa metro area small businesses with a greater understanding of how to do business with the U.S. Department of Defense and other federal contracting agencies; and 2) facilitate small business networking opportunities and matchmaking sessions with major prime contractors and government contracting officials.

AGENDA

The Summit will feature opening remarks by Mayor Buckhorn and a keynote address by Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology & Logistics, Frank Kendall. Following these remarks, there will be government and industry panel discussions on how to do business with the U.S. Department of Defense and how to cultivate business-to-business relationships. BADGE REQUESTS

Badges are $55 each and required for all Summit participants, buyers and sellers. The fee includes morning coffee, lunch, an afternoon refreshment break and admission to all general sessions. The deadline for badge requests is Friday, April 27 or whenever the event reaches capacity. There is no on-site registration for this event.
