8th Annual Government Health IT Conference & Exhibition
The Annual Government Health IT Conference & Exhibition links thought leaders, executives, clinicians and policy makers employed by or contracted with federal and state governments, to shape an improved U.S. health system through the effective use of IT and management systems. Track 1: Innovative Knowledge Exchange
As we move closer to critical deadlines for healthcare, understanding the path forward for interoperable health data exchange will be essential to a successful transformation. The development of the components of the Nationwide Health Information Network—the State-level Health Information Exchange and private efforts, and the NwHIN Connect, Exchange, and Direct projects—will dictate the likelihood that data exchange will indeed support the achievements from cost containment and increases in quality and accessibility of healthcare in the U.S. Track One participants will learn how they can take on a role in each of these initiatives.
Track 2: The Changing Landscape of Health IT
This track will feature the evolving healthcare policy landscape—the Affordable Care Act, ICD-10, and key components of Stage 2 meaningful use—and their impact on health IT.
Track 3: Provider Solutions Sessions
This track offers exhibitors the opportunity to showcase end-user case studies. The role of patients (Accountable Care Organizations, Patient Centered Medical Homes, and other consumer-led and consumer-focused reforms) and Mobile health (most notably, demonstrations/showcases of mobile technology being used in healthcare), as well as IT return on investment and health information exchange.

An ultimate exchange of thoughts, ideas and accomplishments.
