Federal Government Breakfast Briefing: Developing Women Leaders in Today’s Evolving Workplace

In collaboration with AMA Government Learning Solutions, the AMA Women’s Leadership Center conducted a survey on engagement in the workplace, and we will be reporting on key findings and discussing why developing and engaging women is critical for government agencies.

Today’s professionals need to be engaged to perform effectively—and every employee wants to be heard and supported to sustain interest, advance their careers, and support critical government missions. This is especially true today with agencies everywhere evolving and redefining themselves—and with employees rethinking their relationships with the world of work.

During this interactive session, we’ll discuss engagement challenges based on recent AMA research including differences among genders in the workplace as they relate to their career growth, promotions, ability to be heard, taking on extra responsibilities, setting boundaries and more.

You will discover:

  • Differences in gender perceptions and the challenges/risk associated
  • Strategies to retain and engage top talent through development and fair practices
  • How to create more equitable environments
