Moderator: Nick Wakeman, Editor-in-Chief, Washington Technology Washington Technology editor, Nick Wakeman, was named to his post in June 2005 after serving as senior editor for four years. He joined the publication as a staff writer in 1996. At Washington Technology, Wakeman has written about the systems integrators, procurement trends and major contracts. Before joining Washington Technology, Wakeman wrote a newsletter covering the Food and Drug Administration. He also has written for publications on consumer product safety regulations and physical therapy. He began his career in journalism covering police and courts for the Daily News-Record in Harrisonburg, Va. Wakeman is a graduate of Bridgewater College and earned a master's degree in journalism from the American University. Speakers: Kevin Plexico, Vice President of Federal Information Solutions, Deltek Kevin Plexico is Senior Vice President of Research & Analysis Services at Deltek where he manages the delivery of Deltek's information products providing essential industry information and insights to over 2,000member companies. Plexico has responsibility for leading the industry's largest team of analysts focused on the public sector market. He joined INPUT in 1992 and has guided the evolution of INPUT's product and service offerings over the last 10 years where he has played an instrumental role in helping to grow the company from 15 employees to160 employees. Plexico provides thought leadership and expert opinion to industry executives and is a recognized expert on the public sector market. Plexico earned an MBA in Information Systems from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland and a B.B.A. in Economics from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia. Rob Levinson, Defense Analyst, Bloomberg Government Rob Levinson is a defense analyst with Bloomberg Government. He is a retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Colonel with 20 years of active duty experience in intelligence and strategic analysis. Levinson was also assistant director for policy and government affairs for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and a strategic communication consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton. He earned his Master's in Latin America area studies from the University of California San Diego and a B.S. in international affairs from the United States Air Force Academy.
