Attacking the Impediments

The DoD CIO's 10 Point Plan for IT Modernization targets
the most pressing, near-term challenges.  It addresses consolidating infrastructure, streamlining processes, and developing the workforce.  This first goal under streamlining processes is to Enable Agile IT.  The objectives are:

• Lead the development of an Agile IT development methodology
• Provide Guidance to DoD On Agile IT Best Practices

ADAPT is facilitating this workshop to provide industry-government interaction in policy, contracting/acquisition and technical areas directly related to understanding, assessing and implementing agile methods in DoD programs, projects and procurements. 

The workshop is intended to promote understanding of the implications and impacts of agile methods, identify obstacles to their incorporation in DoD acquisition, and discuss examples of best practices of successful implementation.
