Big Data for Defense & Homeland Security

Big Data for Defense & Homeland Security
January 29 & 30 | Mary M Gates Learning Center - Alexandria, VA

DSI’s Big Data for Defense and Homeland Security Symposium is designed as an educational and training “Town Hall” forum, where thought leaders, policy-makers, military service members, government decision-makers and solution providers can come together for actionable discussions and debate

DSI's Big Data for Defense and Homeland Security Symposium will support the DoD, IC, and DHS in overcoming unique challenges related to big data and utilizing new technology to create capability from large unstructured data sets.

“Warfighters’ missions rely on a virtual net of sensors and communications systems for greater battlefield awareness than at any time in history. At the same time, demands for actionable information have spiked as warfighters at every level are called upon to make well-informed decisions. To maximize mission effectiveness and enhance national security, the Department of Defense (DoD) is now challenged to more efficiently fuse, analyze and disseminate the massive volumes of data this network produces.
