2013 NRO Winter Way Forward Conference

The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Chief Information Office (CIO) will be hosting the 2nd Annual NRO Information Technology (IT) Winter Way Forward (WWF) Conference on 28 February 2013.  This year the NRO IT WWF is planned in coordination with the annual NRO IT Technology Expo.  The WWF Conference will be held in the J.D. Hill Auditorium with IT Tech Expo industry exhibits running concurrently in the J.D. Hill Atrium, J.D. Hill breakout rooms, and NRO Cafeteria.

The WWF is an annual event designed to communicate the NRO’s response to IT needs and gaps presented at the NRO IT Planning Conference (ITPC) and provide an NRO Enterprise IT Way-Forward.  The WWF will provide an increased awareness, understanding, and support among the IT workforce by focusing on the NRO IT Way-Forward in terms of the NRO IT Sub-Portfolio Roadmaps.  All conference sessions will be classified.  Government and industry participants are expected from the NRO IT Workforce and the Intelligence Community.

Tech Expo Exhibitor Details

Industry representatives will be exhibiting in the J.D. Hill Conference Center and Westfields Cafeteria.  Exhibitors participating in the IT Tech Expo are not required to hold security clearances and all industry exhibits must be kept at the unclassified level.  Time has been built into the Winter Way Forward Conference agenda to allow for maximum exposure to IT Tech Expo exhibits during designated breaks and lunch.  In addition, a post-conference networking social is planned so that all industry participants will have an opportunity to interact with conference attendees in an open environment.
