2013 Pacific Operational Science and Technology Conference

NDIA and the Science Advisor's Office of the U. S. Pacific Command have once again teamed up to bring the US and the Asia-Pacific area's foremost experts in science, technology, and security together to address security and safety in the Asia-Pacific region at the annual Pacific Operational Science and Technology Conference and Exhibition.  For the past 14 years, this conference has proven to be a great venue to understand operational problems in the region, and for technology providers to recommend solutions to those problems.  This year will not be any different; but we have restructured the conference to better highlight operational and international concerns, expanding the US-only meetings, while retaining our focus on the importance of international partnerships.  We expect the list of international participants to increase this year.

I am hopeful that our collective experience during this week will uncover new and improved ways in which our organizations can cooperate with mutual benefit.  Research holds the key to competitive military advantage.  We are endeavoring to learn how we can take more effective advantage of the great research organizations to improve our operational capability.  Your participation in this event is an important contribution to this goal. I look forward to seeing you there.
