Digital Thinking, Smart Building

What is it?

The RIBA Journal and NBS have teamed up to create a unique programme, designed to be a one-stop shop for all things smart and digital in the built environment. This is the only industry event that brings together professionals from across multiple disciplines, around the common theme of creating and delivering a digital and technology driven built environment.

With 60 speakers across 4 concurrent conference rooms focused on the themes of BIMDesign,Sustainability and Business & Practice, you can mix and match sessions and tailor the day to your needs.

We also have roundtable discussions, facilitated by industry experts, designed to cement your learning, encourage networking, and stimulate new ideas, debate and connections.

The increasing prevalence of 3D modelling practices, smart technologies and open data signal a shift in the way buildings are designed, built and operated. Now, more than ever, we are able to understand how people behave in spaces - and what building and spaces need to look like to meet their needs. This new understanding, together with technological innovations, the internet of things, and the potential for localised energy distribution, has significant implications for building design, lifespan, energy use and supply chain collaboration.
