Timely recognition and optimal treatment of the many life-threatening digestive disorders to be reviewed at this conference remain challenging in clinical practice, thereby presenting the risk of delayed recognition and effective treatment. These challenges are met with state-of-the-art laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging, transplantation and other surgical interventions, and adjunctive or independent medical therapies. Medical therapies to be reviewed at this conference shall include novel drugs, enteral and parenteral nutrients in current practice plus safe means of delivering these products and services.
This conference shall endeavor to organize these topics into a rational, practical, and timely presentation for practitioners who are likely to encounter these patients.

- Facilitate early referrals of patients by pediatric specialists for comprehensive evaluations for liver and intestine disorders for optimizing clinical outcomes and facilitating comprehensive pre-transplant evaluations when needed.
- Analyze the indications for pediatric liver and intestine transplantation and their impact on transplant outcomes.
- Compare and contrast the efficacy of different treatment modalities in the management of transplant recipients with the goal of optimizing patient outcomes.
- Optimize intravenous versus enteral vitamin and mineral supplementation during liver and intestinal rehabilitation, before or after transplant
