CPSR Expectations- Before, During and After Review

This event qualifies for 1.5 CPEs

This webinar is designed to help alleviate some of the stress and unknowns that arise with an upcoming contractor purchasing system review (CPSR) performed by the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA). We’ll discuss the actions taken by the CPSR team for a review, as well as the actions required from the contractor before, during, and after. Hear about the steps and timelines for all parties involved.

The administrative contracting officer determines the need for a CPSR and is responsible for granting, withholding, or withdrawing approval of a contractor’s purchasing system. At the DCMA, we have a CPSR team providing functional specialist support to ACOs in evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of a contractor’s purchasing system.

So what does a review entail? How long is it going to take? What do I have to do? How does it happen? What is expected of me? How do I get one scheduled? All of these and many other questions may pop into your head, as well as the stress of the unknown. We’ll answer these questions to help alleviate some of the stress and unknowns of an upcoming review.

Areas of discussion will include getting CPSRs scheduled; pre-planning work and requests for information; review time onsite; and the analysis, report, and post-review activities, including annual surveillance and timing for additional CPSRs. Participating in this webinar should allow you to be less stressed and better prepared for your own CPSR.

Learning Objectives:
  • Prepare for a CPSR
  • Successfully participate in a CPSR
  • Anticipate and correct deficiencies
  • Plan for process improvements following a CPSR
