The Newest Intelligence Analysis Paradigm: The War of Identity and Counteridentity Intelligence

Come hear the latest concerns from leading members of the Intelligence Community (IC) regarding their current, most significant intelligence analysis challenges.  In particular, we will focus on those associated with one of the newest, most important intelligence priorities:  identifying and tracking the identities of individuals, groups, and foreign military/ intelligence activities which pose direct threats to U.S. national security.

The National Military Intelligence Association (NMIA) will sponsor this important 2-day event on 19 and 20 November 2013 as part of its continuing series of symposia dealing with currently critical issues facing the IC.  Like many past NMIA events, the symposium will be held at the Northrop Grumman facility in Fair Lakes, VA, and will be conducted at the SECRET/NOFORN level.

A key focus of this event will be on "Identity and Counteridentity Intelligence” from both the offensive and defensive perspectives.  Not familiar with those terms?  If you believe that Identity Intelligence is nothing more than developing information on the identity of known or suspected threats to our national security, then this symposium will be especially useful for you!

In addition to hearing from IC leaders about their most salient intelligence analysis challenges, attendees will learn that Identity Intelligence actually focuses on how analysts locate threat individuals, groups, and conventional units using a wide variety of "entity management capabilities" (biometrics, SIGINT, cyber, open source, etc.), as well as hear about activities being developed by the IC to counter adversaries from using identity intelligence techniques against friendly operations.

Identity Intelligence is destined to be one of the fastest growing disciplines in the IC.  NMIA is committed to bringing together the foremost experts in this new effort to provide the inside track on what Identity Intelligence is all about.  In addition, you will learn why it is important for all career intelligence and counterintelligence professionals to have a thorough understanding of this critical new discipline.

The agenda for this important symposium is presently being finalized and will be available shortly.  See the latest version and sign up now at www.nmia.org.
