These next generation assessments mandated by CCSSI will be computer-based and many will leverage Pearson TestNav - the mandated testing provider in several states that delivers over 15 million tests per year. In fact, the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC), a consortium of 20 states, awarded Pearson and Educational Testing Service (ETS) the contract to develop test items that will be part of the new English and mathematics assessments.

VMware's Horizon View desktop virtualization solution has received "TestNav Qualified" certification from Pearson, ensuring that TestNav tests administered using Horizon View are delivered securely, error-free, and with a good user experience. Horizon View with Pearson TestNav combines state-of-the-art technologies from two industry leaders to meet next-generation testing requirements, delivering large-scale online tests to distributed desktops in a cost-effective manner without disrupting existing IT infrastructure.
