Managing the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act

U.S. companies that are looking to grow via international expansion and who are otherwise performing contracts overseas must comply with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (“FCPA”). The FCPA, a highly enforced anti-bribery statute, prohibits all U.S. companies from paying bribes to foreign government officials in order to influence official acts or in order to obtain or retain business.

Companies and their management teams can be subject to criminal and civil liability for failure to adequately monitor and prevent violations by employees, subcontractors, third parties intermediaries and other business affiliates. In order to mitigate the risks associated with failure to comply with the FCPA, companies must have adequate procedures in place to identify and prevent potential violations. This 90-minute live webinar will provide the necessary overview for government contractors to comply with the FCPA and avoid the common pitfalls that seriously impact those that do not.
