2013 Defense & Intel Community Acquisition Knowledge Summit

Approximately 450 attendees representing the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the Intelligence Community (IC), the Department of Defense (DoD), the federal sector, industry, academia, and professional trade associations are expected to attend. This is the fourth biannual event. It is unique this year, because DIA has partnered with the Office of the Director of National Defense (ODNI) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) to showcase key acquisition and procurement initiatives affecting all those focused on achieving mission success during this critical period of fiscal constraint. It is also the only unclassified acquisition event within the IC and DoD.

Summit Outcomes

The 2013 Defense and Intelligence Community Acquisition Knowledge Summit anticipated outcomes are:

  • To hold a multi-lateral dialog on how to remove cultural barriers and to better leverage the enabling and cross-cutting role of acquisition throughout the various intelligence missions.
  • To bring key leaders together to share their vision and direction on the most important issues, initiatives, and priorities with each other, customers, industry, and acquisition participants across the community.
