Creech AFB - Technology & Cyber Security Expo

The Information Systems Security Association, with support from the 432d Wing, will host a Cyber Security Awareness Day & Technology Expo at Creech AFB on Thursday, February 28, 2013.

ISSA Las Vegas is committed to the community of professionals engaged in information security in Nevada, particularly those in the greater Las Vegas area. ISSA – Las Vegas organizes, sponsors and supports activities that help our members and the larger information technology community in establishing and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data, systems and processes.

* Two Speaking Opportunities are available at this event. Cyber topics related to personal practices, such as social networking, cybercrime tools and protection, smart phones and mobile security, social engineering will be considered. About Creech AFB:
Creech AFB, located 45 minutes NW of Nellis AFB, incorporates aircrew training and the supporting, directing and coordination of combat sorties halfway across the world. The host unit at Creech is the 432d Wing, which has six operational squadrons and one maintenance squadron.

Creech is the home to the famed "Hunters" of the 432d Wing and 432d Air Expeditionary Wing, the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper, which are unmanned aerial vehicles used regularly in Afghanistan and Iraq. The base is also home to the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Battlelab. The base also hosts the operations of the 556th Test and Evaluation Squadron and 99th Ground Combat Training Squadron, and those of the Air Force Reserve's 78th Reconnaissance Squadron and Nevada Air National Guard's 232d Operations Squadron.
