NIST IT Security Day



The Office of the Chief Information Officer, OCIO, is hosting NIST IT Security Day as a means to heighten awareness for all NIST users on the many aspects of operational information technology security and networking at home and in the office. This event's objective is to educate users on IT security and related topics. The event will feature guest speakers on general and technical IT security topics and tutorials on internal services and products.

About NIST:
National Institute of Standards and Technology, NIST, is a non-regulatory Federal Agency within the U.S. Department of Commerce's Technology Administration. NIST's mission is to develop and promote measurements, standards, and technology to enhance productivity, facilitate trade, and improve the quality of life.

Supporting NIST's IT environment, the Office of the Chief Information Officer is the focal point for addressing NIST-wide information technology security and networking issues. Functions of OCIO include establishing, implementing and testing information security policies, procedures, and technologies in support of NIST's administrative and scientific environments.
