Maritime Security 2014 West

Maritime Security 2014 West is the second installment of the Maritime Security West program series, building upon the successes of last year’s inaugural conference in Long Beach, CA. As the ninth maritime security conference hosted by Homeland Security Outlook since 2011, Maritime Security 2014 West furthers a commitment to address the needs of governments, law enforcement, and critical infrastructure to counter the challenges of securing coastlines, inland waterways, and their critical infrastructure.

Maritime Security 2014 West provides discussion and collaboration on strategies and technologies to counter maritime security threats encountered by governments, law enforcement, and port/terminal owners and operators. Interactive workshop sessions are designed to give all conference participants the actionable knowledge on how to better secure their maritime areas of responsibility, mainly by stressing the importance of collaboration, efficiency, and best practices. Each of the conference workshop topics will be addressed by relevant perspectives of those who have implemented successful strategies and technologies in their maritime security operations.

In addition to the educational and interactive workshops, Maritime Security 2014 West will also showcase future technologies and programs that will augment efficiency and effectiveness to achieve maritime security. The program will also host an exhibition of 40 companies that have highly relevant solutions and past performances in securing the maritime domain. Exhibitors will display relevant solutions to conference participants, ensuring that all participants remain informed of the latest in trends and technologies.

In collaboration with the DHS Science & Technology Directorate and SRI International, all participants will have the opportunity to be amongst the first to see, in detail, the Coastal Surveillance System implemented by DHS.
