Food, Agriculture, and Veterinary Response Exercise (FAVRE) After Action Meeting (AAM)

You are invited to take part in the After Action Meeting (AAM) & webinar/teleconference to discuss the Food, Agriculture, and Veterinary Response Exercise (FAVRE) workshop conducted on December 11-12, 2013. Those who participated in the workshop are encouraged to participate in the meeting, whether in-person or virtually to address the strengths and areas for improvement and to help develop an Improvement Plan to address the outcomes from the FAVRE workshop. It is intended for each organization that participated have a representative provide input for the AAR and Improvement Plan.  It is not necessary for organizations to send multiple representatives unless they are covering different functions.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sponsored FAVRE exercised incident management and response capabilities to an agro-terrorism incident across all levels of government and within the private sector in support of Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD) 9 requirements.  The exercise helped facilitate participants’ identification of the resources needed to respond to a Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) scenario and determined the gaps that exist between requirements and available resources.
