Water-Saving: Engineering Solutions

In total, 40 percent of the world’s population are already experiencing water shortages, with the United Nations predicting this figure will rise to two-thirds by 2025. Southern Water has also released some interesting stats, as it published its 25-year water efficiency strategy. It found that 92 percent of customers polled support water efficiency efforts; with 96 percent backing water re-use specifically. In today’s world water-preservation has become a priority on every countries agenda. National and European governance is concerned at the manner in which water and energy are becoming finite resources.

SMi's interactive masterclass hosted by RAH Consultancy will discuss the voluntary approach which British and European manufacturers are actively promoting as the route to enhanced water and energy conservation. In three sessions we will investigate the historical position with regard to water conservation, the status quo and the future engineering opportunities, both those being actively pursued and the more innovative and even wacky ideas coming forward.

Who should attend:
Those who want to understand how the water and energy usage position being taken up by governments across Europe and the challenges this presents to manufacturers, installers and users of wholesome and sanitary water will find this event a source of essential background material.
