National Intelligence Symposium 2014
"A Deep Look within the Intelligence Community (IC)".
During the National Military Intelligence Association (NMIA) 2014 National Intelligence Symposium (NIS 14') we will explore the current state of the Intelligence Community in terms of current realities. We will place particular emphasis on how the "Big 5" and Service "2's" will address meeting dynamic demands on intelligence in face of our country's fiscal challenges.
We will examine what is being planned within each agency; budget, organization, new programs and programs that are ending, future IC contractor workforce, current government workforce issues and initiative, improvements to acquisition and near term major projects. We will also explore the impact of the new model of intelligence; new global imperatives, resources vs. requirements, lessons learned from a decade of war, integration and information sharing, changes in analysis, training and development, insider threats and the Snowden fallout and reforms, and changes can we expect going forward.
Additionally, there will be discussions on initiatives such as the IC ITE which is a manifestation of the reality of IC cooperation by taking advantage of the huge potential for savings in Information Technology integration; specifically in Cloud Computing.
At NIS 2014 the speakers from the national intelligence agencies and the military intelligence services will provide an update on the current state of the intelligence community and an outlook on what to expect for the future.
