Data Mining Technologies and their Applications in Counter-terrorism
This course will first provide an overview of terrorism and the supporting technologies for data mining. Then it will describe details on data mining technologies, techniques, tools and trends. The applications of data mining to combat terrorism including adaptive data mining real-time data mining, social network analysis, semantic web mining and knowledge management for counter-terrorism will be discussed. Finally prototype systems that utilizes data mining for counter-terrorism will be described.
