Vancouver ChangeCamp 2010

Vancouver ChangeCamp addresses the demand for a renewed relationship among citizens and government. We seek to create connections, knowledge, tools and policies that drive transparency, civic engagement and democratic empowerment.

Van ChangeCamp is a unique day – a hybrid conference and unconference bringing together citizens, technologists, public sector and not-for-profits to answer two key questions:

  • How can we help government become more open and responsive?
  • How do we as citizens organize to get better outcomes ourselves?

Join us to help answer these questions. Share your stories of change, or find out how to make the change you’re seeking. And if there is something you really want to talk about that’s not on the agenda, that’s great! Lead a session on your topic in the unconference.

The first track of the conference will introduce the kinds of projects that harness new ideas and tools for social change. The ‘unconference’ track means that it will be participant-driven.  The agenda created will be set collaboratively at the start of the event, allowing participants to share their experiences and expertise.
