ChallengeHER NYC

ChallengeHER is hosting a free NYC event at the Federal Plaza 6th Floor Conference Center to help women business owners learn the ins and outs of the WOSB program and get direct access to procurement officials and prime contractors. The U.S. Small Business Administration’s signature Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Contract Program is helping women contractors stand apart from the competition. A recent survey by American Express OPEN reveals that two-thirds of women-owned firms (67 percent) find the WOSB certification useful in seeking contracting opportunities – up dramatically from 37 percent who found the certification useful when it began two years ago.

Launched in 2013, ChallengeHER is a joint initiative from the Small Business Administration (SBA), Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) and American Express OPEN to promote the WOSB program, to bring more women-owned firms into the federal government’s supply chain and to provide an avenue for government agencies to meet qualified women-owned contractors.
