IBM Guardium Vulnerability Assessment

It’s become impossible to read the newspaper or visit a news site anymore without hearing about a data breach and the federal government is clearly in the crosshairs. Nefarious, computer-based intrusions against U.S. infrastructure are increasing by a 17 times order of magnitude, with stolen U.S. intellectual property exceeding a trillion dollars. Access to data is critical to situational awareness and must be accessible by many parties, both internal and external, causing proactive cybersecurity to no longer focus on only securing the perimeter.

A logical “immune system” must be in place internally, in front of where the data resides, in order to insure cyber health. That said, database vulnerability assessment is essential, as it identifies threats and security holes in databases or the underlying operating system, which could be exploited by intruders and hackers to gain access to sensitive data.

Register today to hear Ian Schmidt from IBM's Guardium Security Team discuss how IBM's Guardium Vulnerability Assessment (VA) is a critical first step in improving your security posture: your immune system.

Attendees of this webcast will learn how IBM’s Guardium VA:

  • Evaluates the database and operating system configurations
  • Recommends concrete actions to strengthen security
  • Eliminates the enormous risk created by insecure database configurations, missing databases patches, weak passwords, and other vulnerabilities

Attendees of this webcast will also have the opportunity to participate in a complimentary, 30-day trial version of Guardium VA. We will discuss how the trial can be obtained, along with a number of key features, including:

  • Indentifying and providing users with a report to where sensitive data resides in the database environment
  • Identifying threats and security vulnerabilities in databases or the underlying operating system
