ChallengeHER Chicago
On Thursday, August 7th, ChallengeHER is hosting a free event for women entrepreneurs at the GSA Conference Center in Chicago, Illinois. The event will provide women-owned businesses with resources and knowledge to help grow their businesses. Attendees will have to opportunity to:
- Participate in Federal Contracting 101 and WOSB program workshops;
- Receive updates on the WOSB program and where to find information on future opportunities with government agencies;
- Hear best practices from experienced women entrepreneurs who are selling to the government;
- Know where to access local resources in the Chicago area.
ChallengeHER – a joint initiative from American Express OPEN, the Small Business Administration (SBA), and Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) – launched in early 2013 to promote the WOSB Federal Contract Program, bring more women-owned firms into the federal government’s supply chain and provide an avenue for government agencies to meet qualified women-owned contractors. Since the start of the program, more than 1,200 business owners across the country have attended the free events.
