Prior to starting 2600hz, Darren served as lead architect and developer at Bandwidth.com where he contributed to their infrastructure design and their Phonebooth platform. He founded 2600hz and developed blue.box, a widely used front-end GUI to FreeSWITCH. Darren holds a degree in Computer Science and Business Entrepreneurship from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Chris Pearson is the President of 4G Americas. In his role as the spokesperson and senior operating officer of the corporation, he is responsible for the strategic planning of the organization and providing executive management for the integration of strategy and operations in the areas of technology and public relations as well as public and regulatory affairs. As President of 4G Americas (formerly called 3G Americas), Mr. Pearson represents 4G Americas’ Market Representation interests within the 3rd Generation Partnership Program (3GPP) organization. Mr. Pearson lead the organization from its inception as the GSM family of technologies market share grew from 10% to over 75% in North, Central and South America. Mr. Pearson came to 3G Americas from the Universal Wireless Communications Consortium (UWCC) where he served as Executive Vice President in charge of the strategic management of the technology consortium. Prior to joining the UWCC, Mr. Pearson held several senior technical and marketing positions at AT&T Wireless and GTE. Mr. Pearson has more than 24 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, and has spoken at technology conferences throughout the world including Mobile World Congress, CTIA and 4G World. Mr. Pearson earned a Master of Business Administration degree from The Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University and a Bachelor of Arts degree with emphasis in Marketing and Finance from the University of Washington.

Vice President of Product Development,  ABC News

Doug Vance is responsible for product development and strategy for ABC News digital properties including ABCNews.com, GoodMorningAmerica.com, mobile web, apps, and other emerging platforms. From 2011-2013, Vance successfully launched the applauded refresh to the ABC News iPhone and Android app, the iPad app, extended ABC News to the Kindle Fire and Windows 8 platforms and built partnerships with a variety of innovative startups such as Urban Airship, Pongr, Qwiki and Veri.

Vance has pioneered several product launches, including the redesigned ABC News App for the iPad which delivers around-the-clock news coverage, video content and exclusive interviews to users with three distinct dayparted editions – morning, afternoon and evening. In 2013 under Vance’s leadership, ABC News unveiled a completely new ABC News phone app for iPhone and Android devices featuring a personalized push alerts and inbox within the app, allowing users to star the stories they care about most and get updates directly to their inbox. Other highlights include a Watch/Read section, allowing users to simultaneously watch video while reading stories and Daily Rewind, a night-focused video feature. In 2012, Vance launched a mobile app suite featuring geo-targeted push alerts and notifications for iPhone, Android and iPad users. Vance also oversaw the enhanced live stream experience and worked with Storify and Go-Poll-Go to create a more social viewing experience for users throughout the 2012 Election.

Vice President of Emerging Mobile Products,  Akamai

Lior Netzer is the Vice President of Mobile Network Strategy at Akamai where he leads the formulation of Akamai’s edge strategy as it relates to cellular networks. Previously, Lior was AVP Corporate Development at Comverse Network Systems focusing on mergers and acquisitions in the mobile application space. Lior has also held various senior operational positions in early stage companies such as Voltaire, and advisory board positions with Metacafe. Lior holds an MBA, magna cum laude, from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, and an Electronics Engineering degree, magna cum laude, from Tel-Aviv University, Israel.
