2014 Fall - Intelligence Analysis in the 21st Century Tools, Tradecraft and Challenges
The National Military Intelligence Association (NMIA) is pleased to explore Intelligence Analysis in the 21st Century during its Fall 2014 Symposium. The onset of so called “Big Data” requires the IC to develop new tools, tradecraft, and analytical methodologies to meet its customers’ needs while mitigating the vulnerabilities arising from our adversaries’ access to ubiquitous data. We’ll examine current analytical initiatives within the IC and look into related advances in academia, business, and other fields. Our expert speakers and panelists will provide their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities for analysis in the 21st Century. Key questions we seek to address include:
How do we acquire and sustain the workforce, technologies and methodologies that will enable our success in the decades to come?
What are the challenges in realizing the potential of object based production (OBP), activity based intelligence (ABI), and the Intelligence Community Information Technology Environment (IC ITE)?
How can our acquisition systems be improved to deliver relevant solutions as the pace of technological change accelerates?
Please join us for a stimulating two days of discussion and professional development as we explore these questions and more.
