Marine Law Enforcement

The 26th Annual Marine Law Enforcement Conference is a program designed to support continuing education and training, information sharing andtechnology transfer. This program is a unique opportunity for marine law enforcement representatives across the State of Washington to meet, network, and train together using best practices that will enhance their duties on the water. Upon conclusion of the program, all participants will be given a certification of completion signifying that they have been trained in the latest and highest standards of law enforcement tactical ability provided by the State of Washington.

For the first time ever, the Marine Law Enforcement Conference is opening the program to marine law enforcement agencies outside of the State of Washington. The training and best practices received during this multi-day event are easily exportable to jurisdictions in other states.

Marine law enforcement officers in attendance will be broken up into small groups, ensuring an intimate and interactive setting as critical skills are taught and/or reinforced. Attendees will be given training and instruction in the following fields:

• Waterborne Pursuit & Stop Techniques
• Onboard Handcuffing Techniques
• Boat Handling
• Dry Fire Training
• Live Fire Training (tentative)
• Boating Education
• Tactical Simunition Simulation

Participants are encouraged to bring their duty sidearms and long rifles to the conference for training purposes. Ammunition will be provided if your weapon models and ammunition types are disclosed during the registration process.
