Capture Management - Really, What Is It?

Perhaps you were planning to go to the APMP Capture and Business Development Conference in late September? Or, you might just be wondering why there are so many terms used in the government contracting community to describe something you once thought of as just "sales"? Perhaps you would like to know what the essential elements are in the process of (hmmm, what will we call it?) marketing, selling, developing, capturing, proposing on a sale. Selling business was never an easy thing to start with (Amazon has 340,737 books that include the word 'sales' in the title), so why do we need to make it more complicated with all these job titles?

Reality check - we are talking the federal government, so 'more complicated than necessary' is a natural state of being, but it really does come down to some essentials that are VERY important to understand. Those who get it right do well and prosper. Those who think it is fun to make it more complicated than it should be create a lot of work that is often focused on the wrong things. Those that do not understand it wander in the desert for 40 years and never find their way home.

So, spend a couple of hours with us and we will give you some valuable insights into what you need to know about federal government business development, capture management, proposal management, or just plain selling. In fact, in two hours we can make you smart enough you might just wow the crowd at the APMP Conference, or at least have a lot of great questions you can ask the experts. :)
