ACT-IAC General Membership Meeting
In 2013, the President signed Executive Order 13636 to improve the cybersecurity of the nation’s critical infrastructure. One aspect of that order focuses on improving cybersecurity and resilience through acquisition. Come hear about plans to develop common cybersecurity definitions, conduct training, institute a risk management strategy, and implement baseline cybersecurity requirements in Federal acquisitions leveraging lessons learned in the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), National Intelligence community and Industry best practices.
Learn how DFAR changes will impact organizations at all levels (prime or subcontractor) doing business with DoD as well as civilian agencies. In addition, small and large businesses that are partnered on DoD and civilian agency contracts at all levels of the supply chain will be affected by these new regulations.
Take part in discussions regarding opportunities and implementation requirements that may change the acquisition strategies for both DoD and civilian agencies. Businesses with a presence in either DoD or civilian agencies will want to be at this session.
