Federal News Radio Online Chat: Ask the CIO with NASA Ames' Jerry Davis

Jerry Davis, the chief information officer of NASA Ames Research Center, joins Federal News Radio for a free online chat.

Davis will discuss his IT priorities for NASA Ames, including workforce development, big data analysis and his efforts to improve the center's cybersecurity.

 

Davis will take part in the chat after his appearance on Federal News Radio's Ask the CIO radio show, which will air at 9 a.m. on 1500AM in the Washington, D.C., metro area. You can also listen to the show online.

 

Those participating in the online discussion will be able to ask Davis their own questions. Questions can also be emailed in advance to Federal News Radio Executive Editor Jason Miller, who will moderate the chat.

Speaker and Presenter Information

Jerry Davis became the NASA Ames CIO in February 2013. In his role, he provides leadership and operational support services for the Research Center's multiple scientific domains, including entry, descent and landing technologies; next-generation aviation improvements; astrobiology; and airborne sciences and small satellite programs. Prior to joining NASA Ames, Davis was the deputy assistant secretary for IT security at the Veterans Affairs Department. He has also served as the deputy CIO for IT security at NASA headquarters. Davis has also worked at the Department of Education, the CIA and is a combat veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
